Irish Retail Payments Forum
The Irish Retail Payments Forum (IRPF) has been established by the Central Bank of Ireland in order to provide a forum in which payment services providers (PSPs) and payment services users (PSUs) can come together to engage in an open and constructive dialogue with each other in relation to Irish retail payment services generally.
The principal aims of the IRPF are:
(a) to promote the continued safety and efficiency of retail payments in Ireland and;
(b) to foster co-operation between all stakeholders in relation to the development and provision of new and improved payment services
and payment instruments.

The objective of the Euro Retail Payments Board (ERPB) is to contribute to and to facilitate the further development of an integrated, innovative and competitive market for euro retail payments in the EU by:
- identifying and studying technical, behavioural and legal obstacles in – but not limited to - credit transfer payments, direct debit payments, card payments, internet payments, mobile payments and payments-related horizontal issues (e.g. issues
related to standards, fraud and security);
- identifying and pursuing ways to address these obstacles; and
- identifying and pursuing ways to foster innovation, competition and integration in retail payments in euro in the EU.
