[Andy Heffernan, Chief Executive Officer, Alzheimer Society of Ireland] The Alzheimer's Society of Ireland are over 43 years in existence now, founded by volunteers who recognised needs in their community when it came to supports for people living with dementia.
[Deirdre Walsh, Chief Executive Officer, Jack & Jill] Jack and Jill is an Irish registered children's charity that provides in-home nursing and respite care for children who are born with, or develop severe learning disabilities associated with complex medical needs. These are children who are typically tube fed, oxygen dependent, and maybe don't sleep.
[Stephanie Manahan, Chief Executive Officer, Pieta House] At Pieta we support those who have been impacted by suicidal ideation, self-harm and we support people have been bereaved by suicide. So all across the country we provide services 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.
[Fergal Griffin, General Manager, Neurofibromatosis Association of Ireland] We support children and adults living with neurofibromatosis. NF is a genetic condition that affects around 1 in 2,400. It causes tumours to grow throughout the body. From your brain, your neck, your spine, all the way down to your toes.
[Killian O'Kelly, Fundraising Partnership Lead, RNLI] As a lifeboat organisation based in Ireland we run 46 lifeboat stations on a 24/7 basis. Our volunteer crews, do extensive training. This support from the Central Bank will help fund that training.
