The Central Bank of Ireland Archive will host a paper which will survey the lives of female employees of the Central Bank of Ireland, and the relationship between changes in the bank to broader socio-cultural changes in Ireland between 1965-1990.
Using oral history, archival research and data analysis, the paper will map changes in women’s roles in the structure of the bank and consider how perceptions of women’s work changed as their visibility in the official labour market increased.
Booking: email [email protected] , using Dublin Festival of History 2023 as the subject and specify whether you would like to attend in person or online.
Due to the event being held in the Central Bank of Ireland, all attendees in person must bring government issued photographic identification.
