The Challenge
Have you seen the new €2 commemorative coin?
Central Bank of Ireland has released a coin celebrating Ireland's EU Presidency – and 500,000 are out there in circulation right now.
Here's the challenge: Find one, film yourself revealing it in the most creative way possible, and send it to us through our quick upload online form.
We'll feature the best videos on our feed, and three lucky winners will get exclusive proof coin sets.
Ready? Find the coin. Film it. Send it to us!

We are giving members of the public a chance to win one of our limited edition proof sets. These sets, with a retail price of €120, are sold out and are coveted by coin collectors and enthusiasts.
Our challenge is simple:
- Find one of the new €2 coins in circulation – seek it out as change in shops or your local post office if you’re having difficulty finding it.
- Create a video, of no longer than 20 seconds, where you reveal the hidden coin in as creative a way as possible.
For example, you might take the coin to a notable landmark somewhere in the EU, or you might simply reveal the coin at home using props, family members or pets. You can provide a video in portrait or landscape format, appear and speak on camera, or just let your hands and props do the talking. The possibilities are limited only by your imagination. The Presidency logo on the coin must be identifiable in your video, and we particularly welcome entries with a European dimension.
If you’re looking for inspiration before joining the challenge, keep an eye on our Instagram channel where we’ll be publishing videos created by our own people as well as staff from embassies throughout the EU.
