| Additional information | This Unauthorised Firm has cloned the name and details of a Central Bank authorised firm, and has been seeking to pass itself off as the legitimate firm, Aviva Life & Pensions Ireland DAC, in order to deceive consumers. The fraudulent entity is holding itself out as accepting deposits or other repayable funds from the public, though it does not hold an authorisation or licence to do so. It reached out to consumers directly via phone, email and brochures, seeking to sell fake ‘Fixed Term Deposit Accounts’. It should be noted that there is no connection between the Central Bank authorised firm and the Unauthorised Firm. |
