This fraud is an example of an ‘advanced fee fraud’, where a payment is sought upfront for providing credit services, which are then not provided.
Marco Finance Group copied the details of three Central Bank authorised firms, E & L Credit Ltd , Optal Financial Europe Limited t/a Optal and WEX and Premium Credit Limited, in order to deceive consumers and give the perception of association with these regulated entities and/or having a regulatory status itself. There is no connection between the Central Bank authorised firms and this Unauthorised Firm. |
