Tools: Section 48 Regulations

To support regulated firms in complying with the Consumer Protection Code 2025, there are a range of materials available, including:

The Consumer Protection Code 2025 (the Code) consolidates four earlier legal instruments: 

• The Consumer Protection Code 2012
• The Code of Conduct on Mortgage Arrears (CCMA)
• The Central Bank (Supervision and Enforcement) Act 2013 (Section 48) (Licensed Moneylenders) Regulations 2020
• The Central Bank (Supervision and Enforcement) Act 2013 (Section 48(1)) (Insurance Requirements) Regulations 2022.
