Pending Actions

The existing My Pending Actions pane has now been expanded to include actions for returns that are due for submission. These actions have an Actions Type of Return Instance with a display status of:”: Due, Revision Due, Overdue, Revision Overdue

Request Changes will have priority on the Pending Tasks and Actions view, followed by the oldest dated overdue returns. Please be advised you may need to scroll on the pane to view all returns with pending tasks. Any overdue returns with a Due Date more than one year prior to today will not appear on the Pending Tasks and Actions pane.

You will only see Return Instance Actions for returns for which you are permissioned.”. Please contact your Portal Administrator if you cannot see a return.

Pending Tasks and Actions return display status descriptions are as follows:

Due: Returns with a status of Blank, Incomplete, Valid, Invalid or Finalised which have a submission date today or in the future.

Revision Due: Unlocked returns which have a submission date today or in the future.

Overdue: Returns with a status of Blank, Incomplete, Valid, Invalid or Finalised which have a submission date of yesterday or in the past.

Revision Overdue: Unlocked returns which have a submission date of yesterday or in the past.

(Exceptions: PSS/PSR/PSQ/PSM and NAV will not display when the status is valid, but all the other criteria apply)

Where multiple instances of the same return exist for a submitter (either via delegation or return type), a single rolled up return instance action will display E.G.

a.     If any one of the below differ, then a separate Return Instance Action displays:

    • Submitting Institution (in the case of delegation, this is the delegate)
    • Return Instance (Return Type + Reporting Date)
    • Display Status (Due, Revision Due, Overdue, Revision Overdue) 
    • Due Date

b.     A count of the number of instances that make up the rolled up action is displayed in the description; 

    • PSR -- Payment Statistics Reduced -- 30/06/2024 (1 instance)
    • PSR -- Payment Statistics Reduced -- 30/06/2024 (15 instances)

The process to clear Request Change actions is unchanged. Please see ID: 31 here

No action is required to clear Returns Display Status’. Once the appropriate action is taken on the relevant return (E.G. submitting the return) the actions will be removed from the Pending Tasks and Actions pane. In the case of multiple instances for the same return, the Return Instance Action display counter will be reduced by one for each return that is submitted or removed.

Before submission or removal of a return instance:

    • PSR -- Payment Statistics Reduced -- 30/06/2024 (15 instances)

After submission or removal of a return instance:

    • PSR -- Payment Statistics Reduced -- 30/06/2024 (14 instances)

Completed actions can be viewed in the completed tab for up to six months after completion.

Completed display status description as follows:

Completed: Returns that have been signed off or have a status of Valid (Exception: for PSS/PSR/PSQ/PSM/NAV)

Note: The Bell Counter will remain as before and return instances will not be included in this number. Therefore the total of Pending Actions, Messages and Request Changes noted on the left side of the home screen will not match the bell count total.
